The Dean Vendetta Series
With four models to choose from, the Vendettas have string-through-body design, classic Dean V Ferrule pattern, dual Humbuckers, a 25.5-inch scale, and solid mahogany bodies with a maple neck. The Vendetta 1.0 and 2.0 are bolt-on models with black hardware. The 2.0 model features a solid flame maple top. The Vendetta 3.0 and 4.0 sport neck-through construction with the Pearl Evil Eye inlay running the length of the fretboard. The 4.0 version has a beautiful quilted maple top and is available in an all too popular "Tiger Eye" finish.
Mahogany Body
As with most of their instruments, Dean uses a mahogany body for the Vendettas. Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain.
Bolt-On Construction
Bolt-on neck construction provides an affordable alternative to set-neck or thru-body designs. The advantage of this design is that if you do have any neck trouble down the line, you can easily replace it.

- Species The body of each SG Special '60s Tribute is crafted from solid mahogany, one of the best-loved tonewoods in the history of the electric guitar. Mahogany not only offers classic resonant characteristics, but yields a lighter instrument than many other wood combinations.
- Tonal Characteristics Mahogany is a medium-dense wood with excellent resonance and superior sustain, and it offers a rich, round, warm tone, but with plenty of high-end sheen and good midrange presence.
- Design The SG Special '60s Tribute follows the classic lines of the SG of the early and mid 1960s. It has a beveled body edge for increased comfort, and slightly asymmetrical dual horns on its double-cutaway body, that not only look distinctive but also provide outstanding access to the upper frets.
- Average Weight The average weight of a raw SG Special '60s Tribute body is 4.03 lbs, which is in the normal range for a Gibson SG-style guitar, and lighter than the average solidbody guitar's raw body.
- Surface Texture A hand-buffed, high-gloss finish with 90-sheen lacquer gives the SG Special '60s Tribute a high-quality appearance in keeping with its heritage.
- Process The SG Special Faded is hand-finished in grain-textured nitrocellulose in a simplified process that results in a gently road-worn appearance. Unlike many other manufacturers, who settle for a polyurethane finish, Gibson opts for a nitrocellulose finish that will encourage the natural vibration of the instrument for a purer tone. - Tolerance When fitting the neck and body together, we take advantage of our precise measuring equipment so that all angles, pitches and alignments maintain a tolerance within .005 of an inch. Not only does this help to keep your guitar in tune but it also maintains proper string alignment relative to the fingerboard.
- Joint Gibson uses what is known as the Mortis & Tenon joint to bind neck to body so that the two pieces form one solid unit. On the Gibson USA SG Special '60s Tribute this includes the larger tenon employed in earlier SGs, which helps to maximize sustain.
- Headstock Angle The SG Special '60s Tribute headstock is carefully angled at Gibson's traditional 17 degrees, which increases pressure on the strings and helps them stay in the nut slots. An increase in string pressure also means there is no loss of string vibration between the nut and the tuners, which equals better sustain.
- Truss Rod Gibson's traditional truss rod, found in most all of our guitars, is highly responsive to the individual adjustments you'll want to make to personalize and optimize string action and sustain.

- Frets The SG Special '60s Tribute sports 22 medium-jumbo frets, all immaculately dressed and polished.
- Tonal Characteristics Rosewood fingerboards are known for their rich, round tone.
- Radius The 12-inch radius of the SG Special '60s Tribute fingerboard provides smooth note bending capabilities and eliminates "dead" or "choked out" notes, common occurrences on fingerboards with lesser radiuses.
- Inlays The SG Special '60s Tribute fingerboard carries acrylic dot position-marker inlays.
- Nut Material The nut on the SG Special '60s Tribute is made from Corian, which is mainly composed of acrylic polymer. This popular synthetic alternative to bone offers a very durable material, delivers enhanced sustain, and holds the tolerances of the precision cuts made in the slotting process. It is installed into the top surface of the neck, butting up to the end of the fingerboard to ensure proper tone and sustain transfer, and its nut slots are cut with Gibson's PLEK system to ensure precise fit, break angle, and string spacing.
- Nut Width The width of the nut on the SG Special '60s Tribute is approximately 1 11/16", the traditional nut width of Gibson electric guitars.
Pickups and Electronics
Two Gibson P-90 single-coil pickups with genuine Alnico V magnets, just like on the original SG Special, yield everything from warm, vocal neck tones to plenty of bark and snarl from the bridge position, with round and funky tones in between. They are routed through the classic Gibson four-knob and three-way switch control section.
- Pickups Model Gibson's P-90 "soapbar" is a vintage-style single-coil pickup that has long been a favorite of rock and blues players. Among the most accurate P-90 reproductions available today, Gibson USA's P-90 is made with two genuine Alnico V bar magnets in each pickup and wound with authentic 42 AWG plain enamel-coated wire, to authentically reproduce those thick, snarly, slightly grainy rock'n'roll tones of the '50s and '60s.

- Toggle Switch The SG Special '60s Tribute features one three-way Switchcraft toggle switch. In the down position, only the bridge pickup is active. In the middle position, both pickups are active. In the up position, only the neck pickup is active.
- Output Jack The guitar features a 1/4" output jack made by Switchcraft. Its super heavy duty construction holds your guitar cable securely in place.

The JEM/UV sports chrome hardware and includes Steve's "Monkey Grip" handle cut on the body.The JEM/UV is loaded with a DiMarzio Evolution DP158 humbucker in the neck position, a DiMarzio Evolution DPS1 single-coil in the middle position, and a DiMarzio Evo2 DP159 in the bridge position. This pickup combination features ceramic magnets and generates a wide sound variety of great tones needed for modern rock. The Evolution DP158 pickup was designed for Steve Vai and is fat, punchy, and loud. The DiMarzio Evolution DPS1 single-coil has a bright, clean tone. The DiMarzio Evo2 DP159 is tight, aggressive, and even louder. It produces a wide range of overtones. Ibanez's split-5 wiring provides incredible tonal versatility. Controls include a master volume and tone.The acclaimed Edge tremolo features knife-edge-like pivot surfaces for virtually friction free operation. Locking studs contribute to tuning stability. The low-profile design of the Edge tremolo includes fine tuners conveniently angled back to prevent right hand touches. The Schecter Hellraiser Solo 6 lives up to its name. This guitar was made for the loud, the heavy, and the very metal. Just a few powerchords and you'll know that no other tonewood conveys dark tones like a solid mahogany. The 3-piece set mahogany neck with Ultra Access heel design gives you total access to the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Fitted with an EMG Active 81TW Dual Mode Humbucker/Single Coil pickup in the bridge position and an EMG 89 Active Humbucker/Single Coil Alnico pickup in the neck position, you'll also have an amazing sound palette to work with. Through the body string mounting gives you even more sustain, and aesthetic touches include gothic cross fingerboard inlays, abalone binding, and black chrome hardware.

Mahogany Body
The Hellraiser's mahogany body gives you thick lows and mids along with rich higher notes. The set-neck design adds sustain, and the glossy white finish and abalone binding give it a killer look to match.
3-Piece Mahogany Neck
The 3-piece mahogany set neck features 24 X-Jumbo frets in a 25.5-inch scale. The rosewood fingerboard is ready for shredding, and boasts wicked-looking "Gothic Cross" inlays.
EMG Active Pickups
The EMG-81TW humbucking pickup in the bridge position boasts a dual-mode design for maximum flexibility. Get all the crunch and aggressiveness that 81s are famous for, and enjoy a single-coil that features a fatter tone with plenty of punch and clarity. Dual internal preamps, one tuned for single-coil mode and the other for dual-coil mode, give the 81TW two distinct sounds while delivering EMG's well known noise canceling technology.
In the neck position is an EMG 89, loaded with Alnico V magnets and also featuring separate preamps for dual coil and single coil modes. In dual coil mode, the sound is rich, warm and powerful, but still very clear. In single coil mode you'll get a more traditional Strat single coil sound: bright, airy, and chimey.
Both pickups can be switched between single-coil and humbucker mode with the push/pull taps on the volume knobs.
Graph Tech "Tusq" Nut
The precision Tusq nut is made with Graph Tech's "man made ivory," which couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and is impregnated with Teflon to improve the tuning performance of your guitar. Play as hard as you want, bend a few steps, and your strings glide back into tune. The highly resonant material also means you'll get more richness and harmonics from every note.
Dependable Hardware
The TonePros Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru-body design helps get the sustain and harmonics you need, and combined with Schecter's locking tuners gives you stable tuning and more control over your sound.
